Acrylic Domes are known by many technical staff, to be of great demand, day after day, because:

  • They are Light in weigh, low price and easy assembling;
  • They show a high light transmission by 92% (transparent sheets) and 80% (opal sheets);
  • They reduce moisture infiltrations and they allow ventilation if fixed conveniently;
  • Excellent resistance to the shock, to the weather conditions, and do not need special care. In maintenance terms, they only need to be washed with water and soap or a light detergent. Note: do not apply organic solvents, as oil, gasoline, and trichloroethylene.
  • In any of the manufactured formats - round, square or rectangular – acrylic domes can be applied in factory roofing, stores, warehouses, when it have accented inclination of the roofs.

SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR SETTING ACRYLIC DOMES:

  • Due to its lightness, resistance and easy handling, acrylic domes do not require expensive assemblies or complicated assembling.
  • One of the well-known processes is a construction of a concrete border in the cement plates.
  • The acrylic domes can be applied directly on such border, only supported by piece of cork or plastic material. Spikes previously studded in the cement fix the acrylic skylight.
  • Many technical personnel use iron cramps that are studded to the cement plate and to the gullets for a perfect finishing.
  • Other solutions can be applied, depending on the place, dimension and type of covering and by the experience of the technical staff.
